London Embassy: Anti-Chavez protests? What anti-Chavez protests?

VHeadline News Editor Patrick J. O'Donoghue reports: Some opposition websites are reporting protests in London, Spain, France and Spain but they admit that the groups have been small such as 30 in Paris. In the USA the figures have been bigger in Miami but in other places the usual number is around 10-20.
Some embassies seem to take the approach of let the usual people have their protest and to continue organizing public events with the presence of visiting deputies to explain the government's concern about the use of Colombian military bases by US forces and the reason for President Chavez setting up peace bases or camps inviting Colombian citizens living in border areas to take part.
There was also confusion on the main Facebook 'No more Chavez' with little coming in about the events in Europe.
In London, (Embassy on London's busy Cromwell Road, left) for example there was no previous announcement of meeting places ... giving the impression of a certain amount of improvisation and word of mouth organization among Venezuelans studying in London.
The Venezuelan Embassy in London (pictured right with no flag to be seen on the flagpole!) and the Venezuelan Solidarity Campaign have not organized any counter-campaign in the belief that the protests are small and insignificant.
The facebook group assembled in Trafalagar Square for a while and dispersed.
It is not known whether the police had told them to move on since its is assumed that the protest had not been authorized by the authorities.
